Crochet Sock Cuffs


Materials 

  • 1 ball each #105 turquoise, #106 red, #109 dark pink, #111 mustard, #112 apple green and #400 black 
  • Sizes B/1/2.25mm and
  • D/3/3.25mm crochet hooks or size needed .
  • Woman’s socks without cuff: 1 pair
  • Tapestry needle
Pattern Note :

Cuff is crocheted directly into top edge of purchased sock. The first row needs to be worked with a small hook with a sharp tip to puncture the fabric of the sock. Work this first row loosely.
Begin cuff at back edge of sock.All rows are worked from WS of sock.
Weave in loose ends as work progresses.
Join with slip stitch unless otherwise indicated.
Chain-3 at beginning of row counts as first double crochet unless otherwise stated.

Cuff :

Make 2 

Row 1 (RS): With size B hook and working loosely, join (see Pattern Notes) black to WS at top back edge, ch 3 (see Pattern Notes), 2 dc in same place, [ch 1, 3 dc] 14 [16] times evenly sp around top edge, ch 1, join in top of beg ch-3. Fasten off. (15 [17] 3-dc groups) 
Row 2: With RS facing and size D hook, join mustard in any ch-1 sp, ch 3, 2 dc in same sp, [ch1, 3 dc in next ch-1 sp] 14 [16] times, ch 1, join in top of beg ch-3. Fasten off.
Rep row 2, changing color (see Stitch Guide) in the  following sequence:
Row 3: Black.
Row 4: Red.
Row 5: Black.
Row 6: Turquoise.
Row 7: Black.
Row 8: Green.
Row 9: Black.
Row 10: Pink.

Row 11: Black.
